    Default subject on life

    Dear all,

What is the meaning of "Tochange the subject on life" in:

"If we can provide a little entertainment for people and to change the subject a little on life, I think that's a great thing."

It was said by a football player.

I am used to seeing "subject" followed by "about" not "on".

    Thanks a lot

I have absolutely no idea about what it means. Is there any other context? What does he say before this sentence?

Nothing, it was a short clip for him talking saying that! The announcer was saying before that clip that [The quarterback Tom Brady, considered one of the NFL’s ‘good guys’.]

    Thanks.
