Your sentence is fine in informal, conversational English. Otherwise it would be better as:


"Macdord, iI heard you guys are going to make a statue of me to put next to the Terry Fox one as a the most talented AUS Australian (?) student. ... iIs that true ? ... I just wanted to double-check everything is on schedule"
