    Is the following sentence acceptable?

    Just a gentle reminder that maybe some writing teachers would

    prefer your not using "I" two times. You might consider something

    like:

    After listening to his speech, I was truly inspired.

    You could also word it this way:
    I was truly inspired after listening to his speech.
    Native speaker, but not a teacher.
