    Default take exception to

"It seemed that many people there were taking exception to the whole idea of 'chick lit' "

My question is two-fold (can I say that? I mean I have two questions.)

What is "take excertion to",( I checked my American Heritage College Dictionary but had no luck) and could you recommend a good dictionary? Thanks.

    Default Re: take exception to

[1] 'take exception to' means to object.

    [2] Here's a great dictionary: http://www.dictionary.com/

    [3] twofold is one word.
