attitude on

Doing a gap-fill exercise, I was surprised to see that the word 'attitude' is used with the preposition 'on':

...This is surprising, given that great differences often exist between the attitudes of parents and adolescents on such issues.

Google returned quite a few results for 'attitude on'. Up until now I 've been sure the correct prepositions are 'to/towards'. My Oxford Collocations dictionary doesn't list 'on' for the entry. Could anyone please comment on this?
