wish or would like
1) New York is my favourite city and I'd like to go there for my honeymoon to see its monuments and above all Centrale Park.
2) New York is my favourite city and I wish I could go there for...
Are they both possible? Do they have the same meaning?
Re: wish or would like
A "wish" is usually for something that is unlikely to happen.
So if going to New York is possible, "I'd like" is better. If it's simply a dream, then "wish" is better.
(It's "Central Park.)
