    Default in a row

    Hello dear teachers.

I was wondering if the part in bold means ''a line of things that happen after each other'' or it is actually a legal word ralated to arguments or something like that?

Three Canadian courts in a row have now refused to hear the cases of the two American army deserters. This follows their rejection of their claims for asylem two years ago by Canada's Immigration and Refugee Board.

    Thanks.

Yes "in a row" means one after another.

The case went to one court; the court refused to hear it. Then the case went to another court; the court refused to hear it. Then ...

    You get the idea.
