distracting = confusing?
...
What's more, the images (of the brain) showed that distracting the subjects doesn't affect their ability to store memories. THe processing continues even when they're thinking about or doing other things.
The underlined word 'distracting' in the paragraph can be replaced by '____'.
A. attracting B. confusing C. solving D. considering
The given answer in my test is 'confusing'. But can 'distracting' really be replaced by 'confusing' here?
Thank you in advance.
