- A friendship requires both sides TO have a lot of respect ? Is tehere any other possibility ?

I don't think of a friendship as having requirements. It is, after all, an intangible thing. How about:

• For a friendship to be solid there must be mutual respect.

You could also say meaningful instead of solid.
