Default Check Please

Hi there
Well, when you work in an office on the overnights, somehow folks have time to think about meaningless things. For example, we started to wonder why
at a restaurant the expression "Check Please" is used instead of "Bill Please."

If you have any idea why this might be, you sure would make a lot of folks happy. Because once we get the answer, we can go on to think about other nonsensical thoughts.

Sincerely,
ronni marie
