| 1- difficult matter, though 'sticking point' is more common, IMO, meaning an issue that impedes progress 2- show contempt or scorn for someone openly 3- speak politely and use good English 4- time to finish work, etc, for the moment, even though the thing is not finished 7- cause it to explode or start ringing, etc 8- Talk |
