Exclamation Some difficult sentences

Hello everyone,
Would you please tell me the meaning of these sentences?and if they are common or not?

1)sticky point.
2)To laugh in ones face.
3)They are very well spoken.
4)Call it a day.
5)Pitty party.
6)Younger skin.
7)Almost anything can set it off.
8)Shoot the crap.

1- difficult matter, though 'sticking point' is more common, IMO, meaning an issue that impedes progress
2- show contempt or scorn for someone openly
3- speak politely and use good English
4- time to finish work, etc, for the moment, even though the thing is not finished
7- cause it to explode or start ringing, etc
8- Talk
