Default mark or grade

'In a large class with over 100 students, it is too much trouble for the teacher to [ mark / grade ] exams.'
I'm not sure which is better in this case, 'mark' or 'grade'. Thank you.

There's not much difference to me. I'd use mark if the results were numbers and grade for letters.
