    My eyes ispainful / sore / hurting / irritating / burning.

    What are the differences in meanings of the above adjectives in blue when the sentence starts with My eyes is?

    It probably doesn't matter which of these adjectives you use.
    I'd use "irritated" rather than "irritating".
