    Default indirect speech

    Please advise if the following sentence is correct if the given time is a future time:

    Mr. Smith said that he is going to call you at five.

    Hello Suwei Wang,

    Yes, your sentence is fine. You could also say, "five o'clock" or "five o'clock in the evening" (though the latter is probably understood).
