Please, check if the following passage is grammatically correct. Thanks!
In his last Thursday's speech, the president set forth his vision for the region's future as well his way for settling the … conflict. Typical of the president, his speech included his world-view but was free of any sign or clue of existence of a clear strategy or a concrete program of action which was supposed to lead his country and the peoples of the region towards the bright future envisioned in his speech, that is – a future of economic prosperity, democracy, freedom and peace on earth. There is no wonder, therefore, that the speech was encountered, in the region, with a plenty of skepticism and disbelief as for the president's ability to promote even a small portion of the moves he talked about.

You should be somewhat more concise and avoid being over emphatic. I´m not an article writer and the following is just an example of a model you might like to follow:
"In his speech, last Thursday, the president set forth his vision for the region's future and his proposals for settling the … conflict. As we have grown accustomed, he dealt with these issues in his typically superficial manner and gave no sign of an existing clear strategy or a concrete program of action to lead his country and the peoples of the region towards the bright future of economic prosperity, democracy, freedom and peace envisioned in his speech. Given its shallowness, his speech met with plenty of skepticism in the region due to a generalized lack of belief in the president's ability to put into practise any of his proposals."
I hope you see my point,
