Why I can not use this? Why I can't use "involving" instead of " involved" in this sentence "Consumer research can provide valuable information for companies involved in designing new packaging for their products"

Teacher Re: Why I can not use this? Because the companies are already doing the designs, so their involvement is established. 'Involving' could be used for new or incomplete involvement.
