    Default immune from its behaviour

    Hi

A woman complained that in a certain village people live like in a goldfish bowl. She didn't like that village.

Showing that although she complained about living in
a goldfish bowl, she was not altogether immune from its
    behaviour, Mrs Grieve said ...

Does it mean that although she complained about living in a goldfish bowl she behaved in the same way like those who didn't complain about this way of living?

It looks like that is what it means to say, but it's a bit odd.
