    Default in or on?

Which preposition is correct in this context?

    - The baby's gone to sleep on his shoulder. Then he put him down on/in the bed.

Either in or on can be used, but the sentences should read:

"The baby's went to sleep on his shoulder. Then he put him down on/in the bed.

("on" is probably be more commonly used with put him down. If you ommitted down, "in" would seem more natural.)

Sorry, I missed changing 'baby's" to baby when I corrected your sentence.

    fivejedjon is correct!

    The sentence should read:

"The baby went to sleep on his shoulder. Then he put him down on/in the bed."
