    Default Over my head

Much grateful if you could tell me what the following sentence means:
"I was in way over my head."

    Thanks.

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

    Hello, Deepurple:

    (1) "Don't ask me to explain English grammar. That is way over

my head." = It is too difficult for me to understand.

    (2) "Tom is the manager of a big company, but he is in way over

his head." = He doesn't know how to run a company. The only reason

that he is manager is that his father owns the company.

    (3) Here in the United States, we also have this saying:

Our new manager is young, beautiful, and speaks in a very

beautiful manner. But she doesn't have a clue. She does not know

what she is doing. The only reason that she is manager is that her

    boyfriend owns the company.
