    Default Is my sentence correct?

It took me 4 years to get my degree in nursing, however, if I wanted to take irrelevant courses ( not relevent to my major) just to satisfy my curiosity, I would have been graduated much later.

Thank you so much taking your time answering my question.

Not a teacher only a native.

No need for 'been' in the last sentence.

I would add to the previous answer that I think you should have a full stop after the word "nursing" and start a new sentence with "However, ..."
