have a question yourself
Hi,
'They have three questions themselves.'
I know why it is used here, but I want to find out more of its usage.
Could somebody reply with a comment to this example, and write some other?
Thanks,
Joe

Why is it being used there? What's the wider context?

'They have three quite complex questions themselves!'
That's it, the whole sentence. It will be helpful if someone reformulate it.

Re: have a question yourself
I think the situation is where you have some questions, but "they" have some questions as well. So "they, themselves, also have questions." Or "They have questions themselves."

It does not need re-formulating - it is correct and natural English. However, it would be easier to explain the meaning if you did as Tdol suggested and gave the wider context - perhaps the previous sentence or two.

It works. The italic part was needed to explain it.

SoothingDave guessed the context - we have questions, but they do have too.

Fine, but people who answer questions should not have to guess. In future, please give sufficient context.

I thought it was enough. OK.

If you want help with a question it's important to post all the context you have. This is not a forum for guessing games.
