Default the difference of the two sentences

hi,

as the title.

1. The day may soon come when we say goodbuy to most languages.

2. I am looking forward to the day when we will see each other again.

The tenses of the two sentences are different. Can I use future tense or present tense in both sentences?

Thanks

Paula

I see no reason why not. Please consider your context.

Hi Paula,

I think it was a typo in your first sentence. Was "goodbye" the right word?
