    Thank you a lot!

Sonia is the name of the rather morose-sounding device that announces the stations on the London Underground (tube). According to on Jubilee line driver."We call her Sonia, because she gets sonia nerves"

    Nobody knows that? :(

It's a joke. 'She gets on yer nerves' - [=she is annoying company]

    Now I understand,
gets on ya nerves= get "sonya" nerves

It took about for me one hour by the time I got it

If you had written correcly (on ya instead of on yer) I would have understood it sooner.

But I thank you a lot

Thanks for that. I had never heard the Sonya pun before! Very amusing.

What's correct about 'ya' as a spelling for 'your'? I was trying - using a conventional bit of 'eye dialect' - to point out that the vowel was /ə/. Not all learners appreciate that names ending 'ia' are seldom if ever pronounced with an /a:/ sound.
