| Please help me to explain some pharse words as followings: 1) "Money talk" 2) "Money doesn't grow on trees" 3) "Time is money" How to call the above? Are they idiom? I m appreaciated if you can correct my wrtting as well. Thank you. Best regards, Ly |

| Money talks. SAYING said about people or organizations that are rich, and can therefore get or do what they want Money doesn't grow on trees. SAYING said to warn someone that they have to be careful how much money they spend, because there is only a limited amount: "Mum, I'd like a new bike." "I'll have to think about it - money doesn't grow on trees, you know!" Time is money. SAYING said to emphasize that you should not waste time, because you could be using it to earn money (from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary) |
