    Question we aren't - we're not

Our grammar for beginners says the only acceptable negative form of
    WE ARE is WE AREN'T.
But you often read/hear WE'RE NOT.
    Is this version OK,too?

Thanks a lot for your help!

It's fine- in British English, it's fairly common.
