Which pronoun would you use to answer the following question?
''Who's that girl?'' - 'IT 's / SHE's Mary.'
I know I would use SHE in the following example:
'Who's Mary? - 'SHE is my teacher's daughter'.
Thanks for your help.
NOT A TEACHER
"'Who's that girl?'' - " SHE's Mary.'
This is my thoughts
Thank you very much, but this is the kind of question only a native speaker (preferably more than one) can answer...
Specifically in response to "Who's that girl?" I would say:
1st choice: "It's Mary".
2nd choice: "That's Mary".
I would not say "She's Mary" at all in response to the question.
''Who's that girl?'' - 'It's Mary.'
You are right about: 'Who's Mary? - 'SHE is my teacher's daughter'.
Paulys,
It is only three days ago that I wrote to you in another thread:" Paulys, your efforts to help are appreciated. However, as you have said in other threads that you have a lot of problems with English, it would be better for all if you did not attempt to answer questions yet "
Now you have, once again, given an incorrect answer. Please do not answer questions until you have a much better command of English.
fivejedjon and emsr2d2, thank you both very much!!
