    Default to punk me,

Mel says she can see ghosts, but the girl doubts it saying "punk me". Is it cheating someone?

Not a teacher only a native.

The term comes from an American TV show (called Punk'd) where celebrities would play pranks on other celebrities. The victim of the prank would be 'punk'd'. So in your context the girl thinks that Mark is pulling a prank on her.
