I want to teach at a universty in the future.
I want to teach at universties in the future.
Thanks.
So there is no difference between them at all? i wnated to refer to unviersity in general.
In the US, we would use the "a" version. It doesn't matter which university you mean, or whether you don't have any specifc one in mind at all.
You could also say "I'd like to be a college professor" with the same meaning.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
