Default present and past in one sentence

Are my sentences correct, since I use the past and the present time together?

One day, she said aloud you are still working on your project!

The surgeon operated him on Friday which is a weekday in Iran.

    Thank you for your response.

There is no problem using those two tenses in one sentence, but this particular sentence is wrong.

Can I say ''The surgeon operated him on Friday which is a weekday in Iran."?

Thank you very much for your respond.

Please note the changes. Friday is okay but you need a comma.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
