... where you make notes of all things you have to remember on certain days? is it called a calendar? i'm asking because i dont know if a calendar means only the sort that you'd put hanging on your wall, or can you use it with this little book that you can carry around ?

I have an agenda book myself. I know students in Canada are issued agenda books by the school as well. At home I also have a calendar big enough to write in my appointments, special events, etc. Not all of them have pictures. Some calendars are plain organizers displaying dates only. They come in all shapes and sizes.
