    Default combining two ideas...

How can I combine the two sentences?

    1. There's been a growing interest in sports welfare.
    2. There's been a growing number of researches on sports welfare.

    Thank YOU

If you really wanted to combine these two into one sentence, you could say," There has been (a) growing interest in, and research on, sports welfare.

The easiest way is with "and". Why don't you try it and post your sentence here?

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUGGESTION.

Actually, I thought of that before but it seemed kind of awkward then.

Now you write it, it suddenly looks fine.

Also, I can sense from your reply that trying to combine the two is not such a good idea and I kind of get it but the thing is that it's not my expression. I am merely trying to tranlate someone else's sentence into English so I have to make it look as similiar as possible to the original version in its structure. I don't have much leeway to move words around or split ideas into two sentences as I please.

But if I had, how would you recommend me to phrase it?

    You could say

'There's been a growing interest in sports welfare and an increasing amount of research on the subject'.

(Amount of research is more idiomatic than number of researches.)
