    Default Run/ran

    Dear all,

In the sentence below, why use run instead of "ran". Could anyone please explain the grammar behind it? Thank you.

Anders Behring Breivik, a far-right extremist, shot dead at least 68 people at a political youth camp run by the ruling Labour Party and set off a car bomb in central Oslo that killed at least eight others

It could only be "ran" if he shot the people, ran by the ruling Labour Party and set off a car bomb. And that would only be possible if that comma was there.

Not wishing to make light of this awful event though.
