Word order: which is correct?

1) Were you really born in Moscow? - This sentence is OK for sure. And what about this one:

2) Were you born really in Moscow?
Is it absolutely clumsy or could a native speaker say so?

It could be said if the speaker were asking -"Were you born actually in the heart of the city (rather than on the outskirts, or just outside - or even in another city), but we would be more likely to ask, "Were you really born in Moscow itself?"
