Nevertheless, the digital edition is somewhat restricted by the format of the original hard copy as our concern was with producing a searchable DIL rather than a revised edition. Thus, if DIL is inconsistent in its treatment of headwords, so is eDIL (although the fact that the user can now search the whole dictionary for a particularly spelling and employ fuzzy searching helps considerably)
