The mounting strain in the capital has many and diverse reasons: First, the drives to January 2011s' revolution were, among other things, poverty, unemployment, misery and inability to make a living which are the common troubles of millions of citizens. Frustration and absence of any hope for a better future, prompted millions of citizens to take to the streets in the hope to improve their situation. Yet the passing months since the fall of the president, haven't generated any change in the economic situation of the masses in the country. On the contrary – the anarchy into which the country has been forced, the stagnation of the economic system and the instability, have just made the economic situation worse and exacerbated the misery and the suffering. The result is that the economic situation of the country as well as of the average citizen has become worse compared to the situation under the president's regime. However, the problem doesn't lie only with the economic situation. The country has been paralyzed for the last six months. The streets are dominated by total anarchy with no presence of the police. In this respect, the lives of the citizens have become unbearable. Ironically, the citizens' complaints about the police's heavy hand have been replaced by complaints about an absence of policemen from the streets. And when those are not in sight riots, and largely robbery and looting, become commonplace.
