    Default the same?

    Hello

    I believed that the word," same", can be adjective and pronouns and not a noun. However why would you put an article before the same

    For example, A and B are the same. and not A and B are same?
    It would be weird to put article before adjective and pronouns
    for example, A and B are the beautiful or A and B are the hers.


    I find putting the article there is not logical..is it just a special case?
