Default The same old, same old

    1) If I say ''The quality of food is the same old, the same.'' is my sentence proper English? Is my answer grammatically wrong?

    2) The word ''old'' and ''same'' are both an adjective, then why is there an idiom, The same old, same old''?

    Thank you for your response.

"Same old same old" is an informal expression used to indicate that a situation remains the same, especially when it is boring or annoying. For example: 'How's work going?' 'Oh, you know. Same old same old.'

I search the Internet, actually the phrase ''The same old , the same'' is wrong, because both of them are adjective and the the phrase ''same old same old'' is used to show the repetition of some services or events.
