transform or turn, make Could you please tell if my sentences sound proper English?
1) The presence of calcium and magnesium in water causes water to be hard.
2) People use tools to transform/ turn/ make hard water into soft water.

Re: transform or turn, make Any of the words "transform/turn/make" would be OK. I have an objection to the word "tools"
