Garden path, Input processing
Dear teachers,
I am Soyun studying English Education to be a teacher, one of my teachers told me the meaning of 'Garden path' as a sort of input. I can't find any exact examples to understand. Could you tell this meaning of Garden path, exmples?
Also, I found the book showing the concept of 'Input processing', the book said : This task is designed to teach psychological predicate instructions and the kind of erros students have been observed to make with this sturcture : Mary worries her mother vs Mary worries about her mother. I am not sure of how the affective factore can be affected to understand these two different sentences. ....(omitted).......
Really don't understand. Could you help me ?
Thank you.
