Hi!
Kindly tell me that how can a Writer' and 'author' be differentiated!
What I think is that a writer can write anything such as any article, report etc whereas an author is specially referred to the writer of any book. It can be said that 'An author is a writer, but a writer cannot be an author'!
Thanks in advance!
A person who writes something is its "author." I can author a poem, a sentence, a play, a novel, a magazine article, a technical paper.
"Author" is not just reserved for books.
They are often the same. However, the person's name (or people's name) that goes on the article (or book) is the author. The author may not have a actually written it. This is referred to as ghostwriting.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
