    Default There hardly comes

There hardly comes a chance to do such a thing.

    Does this sentence make sense?

I understand what it means but it's not natural English.

A chance to do such a thing rarely occurs.
One rarely gets the chance to do such a thing.
The opportunity to do such a thing rarely arises.

As you can see, "rarely" is preferable here to "hardly". If you're talking about time, then "hardly ever" would be closer to "rarely".
    bhaisahab and rainous like this.
