    Default E-Mart received high praises

E-Mart received high praises as having opened a new chapter in the retail industry by making generational shift in discount stores just like semi-conductors.

Can anyone help me check if the sentence above sounds alright, especially the underlined phrase?

Do you think it sounds better to change it to "just like semi-conductor industry" or is it ok as it is?

    Thanks

It's not terribly clear what you mean- it sounds better to me without the simile.
