Hi everyone, Is this sentence right?. "GOOD BEGUN IS HALF DONE"
Not a teacher
This is a proverb. Proverbs don't necessarily follow grammatical rules.
However, I googled this and found out that "Well begun is half done." is correct.
"well" is the adverb corresponding to adj. "good"

so what about the sense?
Hi there,
Not a teacher!
# leo
The sense is that a good start helps you to perform well or is generally considered positive regarding the rest of the work to do.
# Michael (off topic)
Well chewed is half digested. <------------ that only makes sense in German (it isn't fun and doesn't rhyme in English)
Thanks
