hi,i am teacher in a training school in yun cheng shanxi province.i saw this on a certificate.THIS IS TO TESTIFY THAT X SCHOOL CAN ISSUE THIS CERTIFICATE TO ENGLISH OF YOUNG LEARNERS.again THIS TO TESTIFY THAT YOU HAVE STUDIED ENGLISH GENERAL.please any one can help me for i think there some wrong with the two sentences.thanks kelvin.
The writer got some things backwards.
This is to testify (though I would use "certify") that X school can issue this certificate to young English learners (I assume that the school cannot issue such a certificate to older learners).
This is to testify (again "certify" would be a better choice) that you (this should have the name of the student, not merely "you") have studied general English.
