Which is correct and Are the wordings OK?
Certificate of Honor
Outstanding Performance in Elocution Contest in English
Extempore Talk
First Prize
Certificate of Honor
(for) Outstanding Performance in Elocution Contest (In)
Extempore Talk
First Prize
I prefer "Extempore Speech" or "Extempore Speaking" to "Extempore Talk". I am also confused. Is this the First Prize or a Certificate of Hono(u)r? I would expect the First Prize Certificate to state that more than anything else. I would expect a Certificate of Hono(u)r to be awarded to someone who didn't win a main prize but you wanted to give them some recognition.
Having just seen one of BarbD's replies, I would like to add that I don't know about the use of "Extempore" as I don't indulge in public speaking contests! As BarbD said, would it actually be "Extemporaneous"?
