Foundation stage??

Hi everybody,

I'm an English teacher ,,I've been teaching English for FL (Foreign learners)..
to which English is meant to be a second language..for two years.

So, I had difficulties in foundationg the basis and in lowering my knowledge down to thier levels and way of understanding??

I've gone through plenty of books ,looking for a satisfying foundation stage in which a student will be able to follow and bear with me ...


so I welcome your thoughts and suggestions..

When you talk about lowering to their level of knowledge, what is their level? Are they literate and what is their educational background? Do they come from the same country? Can you give an example of a difficulty you've come across?
