tense and aspect I have a doubt, I'm not sure when teachers talk about tense and aspect of, for example, present simple or past progressive and many others..
I mean, for example, what is the tense and aspect of present perfect progressive?

Re: tense and aspect Many linguists consider that there are two tenses in English, generally known as the present and past tenses. Each tense can show aspects. The two most commonly recognised are the progressive (or continuous) and the perfect aspect.
You will find that many people still refer to progressive and perfect forms as tenses.
The present perfect progressive is present tense, perfect and proressive aspects.
