    Default especially vs and especially

    Hi,

    Question:
Any difference between especially and and especially.

    Sentence:
There has been a bonanza of hydrofracking news and events this summer, especially / and especially this month, with two specific events coming this week.

    Thanks

    "and" is unnecessary.
