There are numerous websites that provide guidance in terms of essay and letter writing. In your Google search box type "essay writing or letter writing for IELTS".

is Are there any books you could recommend?

Please remember to start every sentence with a capital letter.
We do not put a space before a question mark (or most other punctuation marks).

If you want to use "Is there..." then you need to follow it with the indefinite article - "Is there a book you can recommend?" If you want to use the word "any" then you need to start with "Are there..." and use the plural form of the noun as you can see from my amendments in red above.
