    Default reasonable fair price

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to give me your considered opinion concerning the interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

Given that gold has dropped about 30% in value over the latter half of 2008, you probably paid a reasonably fair price at €240.

reasonable fair price = acceptable/ bearable price

Yes- the person didn't pay a ridiculously high price, but probably a bit much.
